This unusual shrub, sometimes known as African Tree Gardenia, blooms from late fall to early winter with gorgeous 10" white tubular flowers. Age causes the creamy-white, lightly-scented blossoms to turn pale yellow. The plant, which is related to coffee and gardenia, has an upright, branching habit and glossy green foliage. After flowering, it enters a period of rest before starting its active growth cycle again in the spring.
