Plants Available This Spring

Hoodia Gordonii

This prickly, simple-to-grow succulent is from South Africa and features strange flowers that emerge like tiny hats from the upright stems. Flowers can be up to 3" across and range in color from a pale tan to a vivid salmon pink. This unusual succulent will bloom profusely in spring if grown in well-drained soil with full to part sun. The carrion-like scent of Bushman's Hat blossoms is said to draw flies for pollination. They are closely related to stapelias.
